Claiming an Employer Profile

Claiming an employer profile on Modex Profiles gives your branch or company control over how your organization appears to loan officers — including branding, descriptions, and the ability to connect with candidates. This article walks you through how to claim your employer profile.

Note: Employer profiles are available for both branches and companies. The steps below apply to both. Step 1: Search for Your Employer Profile

Navigate to the employer profile claim page. In the search field, enter your organization's name or NMLS ID. Matching profiles will appear in the results, showing the profile photo, name, address, and NMLS ID for each result.

When you find your organization, click Claim Profile next to it. If the button reads Profile Already Claimed, that profile has already been claimed — see What do I do if someone claimed my profile? for next steps.

Step 2: Complete the Claim Form

After clicking Claim Profile, you will be taken to a claim form that confirms which profile you are claiming. You will see the profile card with the organization's name, address, and NMLS ID.

New to Modex

If you do not yet have a Modex account, fill in the following fields to create one:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Confirm Password
  • Phone Number

Review and accept the terms of service, then click Sign up to submit your claim.

Existing Modex Account

If you are already logged in to Modex, the form will confirm that the profile is being claimed with your existing account. Enter your Phone Number, review and accept the terms of service, and click Sign up to submit.

After Submitting Your Claim

Once your claim is submitted, you will be redirected to your employer dashboard. While Modex reviews your claim, an Awaiting Approval banner will appear at the top of your dashboard: "We are currently reviewing your claim of this profile. Hold tight!"

Some features are not available until your claim is approved. If you try to access a locked feature, you will see a message explaining that your account will be reviewed within 2 business days.

Account Activation (Preview Mode)

After your claim is approved, your account will initially be in preview mode. You will see the following message on your dashboard: "Thank you for claiming your profile! Your account is currently in preview mode."

Your assigned Modex Account Executive will reach out within 2 business days to schedule a personalized demo and fully enable your account. You can explore your employer profile in preview mode in the meantime.

Inviting Additional Users

Once your account is active, you can invite team members to help manage your profile. Go to Settings (the gear icon in the top navigation) and select User Access. Click Invite User and enter their email address. Each user can be granted up to three permission levels:

  • Profile Editing — can edit profile information such as photos, name, and descriptions
  • Represent Profile — can engage in conversations with loan officers
  • Change Settings — can invite users and manage account settings
