Claiming a Loan Officer Profile
Claiming your Loan Officer profile gives you control over your presence on Modex — including your profile photo, name, and the ability to receive interest from employers and participate in the job opportunity marketplace. This article walks through how to claim your Loan Officer profile and what to expect after the claim is submitted.
Note: Modex Profiles is always free for loan officers to claim and use. If you have trouble claiming your profile, contact Modex Support.
Finding and Claiming Your Profile
Navigate to the Modex Profiles signup page and select the loan officer claim flow. You can access this directly from the employer claim page by clicking Are you a loan officer? Claim your loan officer profile.
Enter your NMLS ID in the search field to locate your profile. Once your profile appears in the results, click Claim Profile to begin the claim process.

Completing the Claim Form
After selecting your profile, you will be taken to the claim form. Fill in the following fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Password
- Confirm Password
- Phone Number
If you already have a Modex account and are logged in, the form will confirm that you are claiming this profile with your existing account and only ask for your Phone Number.
Review and accept the terms of service, then click Sign Up to submit your claim.
After Submitting Your Claim
Once your claim is submitted, you will be redirected to your Loan Officer Dashboard. An Awaiting Approval banner will appear at the top of your dashboard while Modex reviews your claim. Reviews are typically completed within 2 business days.
Note: Some features are not available until your profile claim is approved. If you attempt to use a locked feature before approval, you will see a message that reads: "This Feature Is Unavailable Before Approval — Some of our features are not available until we can verify the claim of this profile."
Loan Officer Onboarding
After your claim is processed, you will be guided through a short onboarding flow to set up your profile. The onboarding has three steps shown in the sidebar:
- Profile — Enter your First Name, Last Name, and optionally upload a Profile Photo (JPG or PNG, minimum 200x200px). Click Continue to proceed, or skip this step.
- Representation Zone — View the geographic area assigned to your account. If your zone has not been set up yet, you will see a message that your account is being configured and that you will hear from the Modex team shortly. You can also submit a zone request by describing the areas you need.
- Onboarding Completed — A confirmation screen confirms your profile is ready. Click Continue To Your Profile to go to your dashboard.
Requesting a Representation Zone
If your Representation Zone has not been assigned yet, you can request one during onboarding or from the Representation Zone step. Enter a description of the areas you need to view in the text field and click Send. You will see a confirmation message once your request has been received. The Modex team will follow up to complete your setup.
