Employer Profile Settings
The Settings section of your employer profile lets you manage who has access to your profile, review your representation zone, and understand the fee schedule that applies to your account. This article covers each settings area available to Branch and Company profiles.
Note: Settings are only visible to users who have been granted the Change Settings permission. If you do not see the settings gear icon in your navigation, contact your profile administrator or Modex Support.
Navigating to Settings
Click the gear icon in the top navigation bar to open the Settings section. The settings sidebar contains the following options:
- User Access — manage the users who can access and edit your profile
- Representation Zone — view the geographic area assigned to your profile
- Fees Overview — review the fee schedule that applies to your account
User Access
Click User Access in the settings sidebar to manage the team members associated with your employer profile. This page lists all current users along with their assigned permissions, the date they were added, and when they last accessed the profile.
Permissions
Each user can be granted any combination of three permissions:
- Profile Editing — ability to edit profile information such as the profile photo, name, descriptions, and other profile content
- Represent Profile — ability to engage in conversations with loan officers on behalf of the profile
- Change Settings — ability to invite users, edit permissions, and change any additional settings for the profile
Inviting a User
Click Invite User to send an invitation to a new team member. Enter their email address and select the permissions they should have, then send the invitation. To review pending invitations, click View Invitations.
Editing or Removing a User
To change a user's permissions, click Edit next to their name, adjust the permission checkboxes, and save. To remove a user from the profile, click Remove. Note that you cannot remove the last remaining user on a profile.
Note: Only users with the Change Settings permission can invite, edit, or remove users.
Representation Zone
Click Representation Zone in the settings sidebar to view the geographic coverage area assigned to your employer profile. The representation zone defines the area in which you can search for loan officers, view performance data, and engage with candidates on Modex.
Your representation zone is configured by your Modex Account Executive and cannot be changed directly from within the profile. If you need to adjust your coverage area, contact your Account Executive directly.
Fees Overview
Click Fees Overview in the settings sidebar to review the fee schedule associated with your account. The fee table displays the following columns:
- Hand Raised BPS — the basis points rate that applies when you connect with a loan officer who had their hand raised at the time of connection
- Not Hand Raised BPS — the basis points rate that applies for standard connections with loan officers who were not hand raised
- Duration — the number of months over which the fee is calculated
The fee is calculated as the loan origination volume produced by the hired loan officer during the duration period, multiplied by the applicable BPS rate. Fees are success-based and only apply when a connection is made through Modex and the loan officer is subsequently employed by your organization.
Note: Modex is free for loan officers and employers to claim profiles and browse data. Fees only apply when a hire is made through the platform. Worked examples illustrating fee calculations are shown at the bottom of the Fees Overview page.
