How to Stack Filters
Modex allows you to layer multiple criteria within a single filter category to create highly specific results. This "stackable" filtering capability enables you to combine different metrics such as searching for Loan Officers who meet specific unit counts and volume thresholds simultaneously. or combine inclusion and exclusion criteria within the same category.
Stacking Filters
You can filter by multiple mortgage metrics at the same time, such as requiring both a minimum number of units and a specific total volume.
- Navigate to the filter sidebar on the left side of the page.
- Open the Transactions filter.
- Enter your first criteria (e.g., set Units to a minimum of 12).
- Click the three dots icon located within the filter box.
- Select "Add" from the menu that appears.
- A second input field will appear. Select your secondary metric (e.g., Volume) and enter your desired Minimum or Maximum amount.
- Click "Apply" at the bottom of the filters to view your results

Stacking Attribute Filters with Exclusion Logic
Stackable filters are particularly powerful when using Attributes, allowing you to find candidates who match one trait while explicitly excluding those who match another.
- Open the Attributes filter section.
- Click "Select Attributes" and choose your first desired trait (e.g., "Community Focused").
- Click the three dots icon next to the attribute you just selected and click "Add".
- Click "Select Attributes" for the new field and choose a second trait (e.g., "Consumer Direct").
- To exclude this second trait, toggle the option from "Has" to "Doesn't Have".
- Click "Apply" at the bottom of the filters to view your results

Tip: Most filter categories in Modex have the "Add" option, giving you the flexibility to build complex, multi-layered search queries.
