Download/Export
Once you have created a list of candidates or contacts within Modex, you can export that data to a CSV file for external use. This guide covers how to prepare your list and download the file.
- Navigate to the relevant tab where your list was created (e.g., Loan Officers).
Click the List icon (represented by four squares) located at the top of the page.
Select the specific list you would like to download from the menu. The page will repopulate with the users on that list.
Before exporting, ensure you have unlocked any necessary contact information.
Tip: To unlock data for the export, click the Select Page icon (three squares with a plus sign), choose "Select Page," and then click "Unlock Contact Data."
Click the "Download" button in the top right corner of the screen. A configuration window will appear.
Customize your export settings:
- Transaction Timeframe: Use the dropdown menu to select the specific period you want data for (e.g., "1 Year," "9 Months," or historical data back to 2019).
- Exporting Fields: To customize which data columns are included in the CSV, click the "Edit" button. You can check or uncheck specific fields (such as "Twitter" or specific contact details) to include or exclude them from the file.
- Once your settings are configured, click the "Generate File" button.
- When the process is complete, click the green "Download File" button to save the CSV to your computer.
Additional Information
- Email Notifications: If you navigate away from the page while the file is generating, you will receive an email notification from Modex when your download is ready.
- Format: The exported file will be in CSV format, compatible with Excel and other spreadsheet software.
