Search Options

Modex provides several ways to search for loan officers, branches, companies, and lender beneficiaries.

Search by Name or NMLS ID

Click the entity type in the top navigation menu (Loan Officers, Branches, Companies, or Lender Beneficiaries), then select Search from the dropdown.

1. Click Loan Officers on the top menu — a dropdown will appear with Filters, Search, and Lists.

3. Click Search and you will be taken to the search page.

   

4. Enter a name or NMLS ID in the search field. Modex supports partial name matching — you do not need to type the full name. It will also do its best to handle misspellings and close matches.
5. The same steps apply for Branches, Companies, and Lender Beneficiaries — just start from the corresponding menu item.

Global Search

From anywhere in the platform, you can use Global Search to search across all entity types at once — loan officers, branches, companies, and lender beneficiaries.

1. Click Search in the top navigation bar on the right side.

   

2. A modal will appear where you can enter a name or NMLS ID. Modex will return matching results across all entity types.

   

3. Scroll through the results and click the record you want to open.

Tip: Press Ctrl+S on your keyboard to open Global Search from anywhere in the platform.

Search Tips

• Partial names work — searching "John Sm" will return results for "John Smith", "John Smythe", etc.
• NMLS ID search is exact — enter the full NMLS ID for best results
• Misspellings — Modex will attempt to match close variations of a name
• Direct NMLS URL — if you know someone's NMLS ID, you can navigate directly to their profile at modex.com/nmls/[NMLS ID]. See Direct NMLS Lookup for details.
