Account Verification
Modex has thousands of profiles for loan officers, branches, and companies nationwide. When you claim a profile, Modex verifies your identity before granting full access. This article explains how verification works for loan officer profiles and employer profiles (branches and companies).
Loan Officer Profile Verification
When you claim a loan officer profile, Modex uses automated tools to verify your identity. In most cases, verification happens quickly. If automated verification cannot confirm your identity, a member of the Modex team will manually review your claim.
While your claim is under review, you will see an Awaiting Approval banner on your dashboard. Some features are restricted until your claim is approved. If you attempt to use a locked feature, you will see a message stating: "This Feature Is Unavailable Before Approval — Some of our features are not available until we can verify the claim of this profile. Your account will be reviewed within 2 business days."
Employer Profile Verification (Branch and Company)
All branch and company profile claims are manually verified by the Modex team. After submitting your claim, your account will be placed in preview mode. An Awaiting Approval banner will appear on your dashboard while the review is in progress.
If Modex has questions about your ownership of a branch or company profile, a team member will reach out to you directly. Once your claim is approved, your assigned Account Executive will contact you within 2 business days to schedule a personalized demo and fully enable your account.
Verification Timeline
- Automated verification — typically instant for loan officer profiles
- Manual review — completed within 2 business days for loan officer and employer profiles
What Happens After Approval
Once your profile claim is approved, the Awaiting Approval banner is removed and you gain full access to all features available on your account. For employer profiles, your Account Executive will reach out to complete onboarding and enable your account.
Profile Already Claimed
If you search for your profile and see a Profile Already Claimed message, someone else has already claimed that profile. To report an incorrect or fraudulent claim, see What do I do if someone claimed my profile?
