Help! My data isn't accurate!

Modex collects public records data on mortgage transactions for more than 90% of the US population. This data is enriched and tied back to individual loan officers, branches, and companies. If you encounter incorrect or partially incorrect data on your profile, it is most likely because we do not yet have coverage in the counties nearest to you.

Understanding how our data collection works can help clarify what you see — and what you do not see — on your profile.

County Coverage

Modex is transparent about where we collect data. We dynamically publish a County Coverage report that shows all coverage nationwide. The report includes:

  • Every county in our database
  • Total transactions on file for that county
  • The date we started collecting data for that county

On a monthly basis, we add new counties to our database. Coverage is an ongoing and evolving effort.

Performance Data on Your Profile

Your performance metrics — including volume, units, loan types, and transaction types — are calculated from the public records data we have on file for your counties. If a county is not yet in our database, transactions from that area will not appear in your metrics.

To view your performance data, click Insights in the top navigation menu. From there you can review your production history and see how you rank against peers at your branch, company, and in your region.

Rankings and the Modex Score

Your Modex Score and rankings are derived from the same public records data. If your coverage area has limited data on file, your score and rankings may not fully reflect your production. As we add counties over time, your metrics will update accordingly.

Still Seeing Inaccurate Data?

If you believe data on your profile is incorrect beyond a coverage gap — for example, if transactions are attributed to the wrong loan officer — contact Modex Support so we can investigate.

Note: Data accuracy depends on the quality and completeness of public records in each county. Modex does not manually enter or alter individual transaction records.
