Workforce Data
Workforce Data provides insights into loan officer movement within the mortgage industry, allowing you to track arrivals and departures for companies and branches. This feature supports recruitment, market analysis, and strategic planning.

How do I access Workforce Data?
For a Company:
- Navigate to the "Companies" tab from the main menu.
- Click on the company name you want to analyze.
- On the company's detail page, click the "Workforce" tab.
For a Branch:
- Navigate to the "Branches" tab from the main menu.
- Click on the desired branch.
- On the branch's detail page, click the "Workforce" tab.
What does the Workforce Data dashboard show?
The dashboard displays data for Producing Loan Officers over the last 1 Year by default. A "Producing" loan officer is someone who has originated one or more loans in the last 12 months.
Key Metrics:
- Producing Arrivals: Total producing loan officers hired during the selected timeframe
- Producing Departures: Total producing loan officers who left during the same period
- Change: Net gain or loss percentage calculated against the total workforce at the start of the timeframe
Filtering Options:
Workforce Type:
- Producing Workforce: Default view focusing on loan officers with recent production
- Total Workforce: View all loan officers regardless of production volume
Timeframe: Select different periods using the dropdown (Year to Date, 6 Months, specific calendar years)
What are the main sections of the dashboard?
Producing Workforce (Left Side)
- Graph: Line graph showing the trend of total producing loan officers over your selected timeframe. Hover over points to see exact monthly counts.
- Table: Month-by-month breakdown showing timeframe, percentage change from preceding month, and total producing loan officers.
Producing Arrivals & Departures (Right Side)
- Graph: Bar chart with green bars for arrivals and red bars for departures
- Table: Monthly count of exact arrivals and departures
How do I view detailed monthly data?
Click on any month in the data tables to open a detailed modal window titled "Workforce Data - [Month Year]". This shows specific loan officers who arrived or departed with analysis tools.
Modal Features:
Interactive Elements:
- Name/NMLS ID: Click name to visit detail page or NMLS ID to go to NMLS Consumer Access
- Phone Icon: Click to unlock and view contact information
- Calendar Icon: Click to view complete employment history including internal transfers
Data Columns:
- Production (1 Year): Loan officer's production volume over the last year
- Arrived From/Departed To: Previous or subsequent employer
- Start/End Date: Specific employment change dates
- Employed For: Duration of employment at the company
- Status: Color-coded tag indicating employment change type
Filtering and Sorting:
- Movement Type: Filter by Arrivals Only, Departures Only, Current Only (still employed)
- Workforce Type: Toggle between Producing Workforce and Total Workforce
- Sort By: Sort by Name, Production, Start Date, and other columns
What do the status types mean?
Status | Color | Description |
---|---|---|
Job Change | Green/Red | Moved from/to another company. Green = arrival, Red = departure |
Entered Industry | Green | New to mortgage industry, first licensed role |
Returned to Industry | Green | Previously licensed, left industry, now returned |
Current | Blue | Continues to be employed during selected timeframe |
Available | Gray | Departed company but hasn't joined new one, still holds active license |
Left Industry | Red | Departed and all licenses expired, fully exited industry |
What's the difference between Company and Branch data?
Company Workforce Data: Focuses on talent movement between different companies, tracking who joins from competitors or leaves to join them.
Branch Workforce Data: Shows same data as company view plus internal company transfers. Displays "Job Change" for loan officers moving between branches within the same company, which isn't visible at the company level.
